If you manually download the firmware, again you can use PMUpdater to apply it or you can upgrade manually. See this thread for further information on how to manually install firmware.

v14142 should update fine to the beta version. It is only the PMUpdater application that is Windows only.
Mac users will have to install the firmware manually, but it shouldn't be that difficult.

DJ Pip has updated this page to include instructions for mac users on manually installing
here but it is really a repeat of this information we have here in our How To Guide
