Battery replacement

Post by wakster » Fri Oct 12, 2012 9:48 am

Hello all, many thanks for continuing you're great work on the pacemaker, it's defiantly worth the extra work, it's a brilliant device and I'll never get rid of mine.
The problem I have is I daren't use it too much as I've read that the battery can fail at sometime and I'm worried I won't be able to replace it.
Has anyone had any success in replacing the battery without to much to much fuss.

Anyway keep up the good work guys, and long live the tonium pacemaker

Hopefully replacement info will br forthcoming from Jonas.

I have a pmd with no battery fitted which works fine as long as is plugged into the mains.
Never experiment with drugs.... you might waste them

Someone has done it: http://s1086.photobucket.com/albums/j46 ... r_battery/
Unfortunately I don't know the specs although I'm sure we'll be able to gather this information soon.

What is the name of the tool/where can I get one that will open up my pacemaker?

I have opend the PMD with a philips screwdriver, (the little one you can use to open an i-phone).
The battery seems to be easy to replace since it is quite well located)
If we can get a reference for a battery with the proper connectors and a battery that is compatible with the original charger then I am willing to post a video tutorial of the battery swap if that can help anyone.
