Anyone else having this problem??

Hi great site and nice to see other people who think as highly of the PMD and didn't let it just gather dust and die.
Since my Pacemaker has been resigned to the kitchen junk draw I recently decided to rescue it a give it another whirl. I have upgraded to the new firmware but since doing this the unit boots up fine and everything works until I decide to shutdown. I go through the usual steps and highlight shutdown in the menu and when I slide right on the touchpad the unit freezes with shutdown highlighted!!! The Channel 1 and 2 buttons still work as does the crossfader. Does anyone have any ideas?????
