New to the world pacemaker but need HELP!!!

Hi all,

New to this. I bought a pacemaker 60gb off ebay, arrived in super condition and was very happy. Plugged it into my mac, it found it and i launched the editor. It never found the pacemaker in the device section and as such i could not add tracks. It came with songs on it but non was my bag. I searched on the internet and was advised (not here unfortunately) to restore the HDD! This was a bad idea as now all the device says is please upgrade firmware and the editor says - pacemaker firmware is outdated with editor and needs updating??

So i guess in need info how to A fix the firm ware and B make the editor find the device?

my mac spec is

osx lion 10.7.4

I am not using pacemaker and mac, so take this with a grain of salt.

I would either update the pacemaker to the new beta firmware that is on this site, or else delete pacemaker editor from you mac and install the version that is not present on your pacemaker after doing the hard drive reformat.

Hi Sputnik,
I am not a mac owner so I cannot give any mac specific advice.

Firstly I would make sure you are using the latest editor for the mac. You can find a link to this in our downloads area.

For the firmware I agree that you should go for the latest beta firnware, also available in our site. To upgrade you have two choices......

If you have access to a Windows pc you can download our PMUpdatet app from our diwnloads area. Using this you can automatically download the firmware file then update you PMD with it.

Otherwise you will have to manually download the firmware file then manually update the PMD. See out "How To" section for instructions on how to do this.

Thanks for the advice guys, however every time i download something on your website it comes out corrupt. I will try plugging the device into my PC at work.

No luck with work PC, can't download apps from the web, firewall blocks it!!

I think you will need to find someone with a Windows PC who can help you with the instructions that Sox provided. there is probably no other way around that.
