The Lights are on but no one is in?

Post by sixgunz » Fri Nov 07, 2014 4:28 pm

Hi.

I have just replaced the 60gb HDD in my pacemaker with a new 128gb ssd.

Upgrade was fine and was working, but now when I power on, I just get the lights on the pacemaker.....? No display of any kind......?

I am able to get into DFU mode (left light is lit only), but can't use the flash tool as it says access is denied...?

Can anyone help? I love this unit and am so lost without it :(

Thanx!

From your initial statement I would have said you have disturbed another connection during the refit.

But then you say you are in DFU mode (whatever that is). Do you know this 'cos of this light that is lit, or do you see some display when in it?
Can you post a link back to our info on DFU mode (can't be arsed searching, and our search doesn't always work anyway).

Once I've re-read the DFU info and can be sure you haven't messed up following the instructions correctly, I could ask the Pacemaker developer what can cuase access to be denied.

Have you considered putting the HDD back in again to see if it starts working? Perhaps the SSD is drawing too much current?

I found the DFU mode info.

Are you sure you used "run as administrator" when you ran the restore app?

Hi Sox.

Thank you for your reply.

I ran the restore application as administrator, while running the PM in DFU mode (this was confirmed by the single light on the PM device.)

I have disconnected and reconnected the HDD. Sadly, I can't try the old HDD as the connector was damaged when removing it (clumsy idiot I am!)

I have just read your DFU mode. I use win7 64 bit and noticed the bit about manual install of drivers so I'll give that a go.

I remember somewhere that there is a reset function, which has four functions, or something like that...?

Will post back when I've tried the DFU again.

Cheers again Sox.

This is the info on the reset you mentioned viewtopic.php?f=20&t=62
You would need to be able to see the display though :?
