Hey all,

Making some changes to my Pacemaker after I dropped it and the hard drive is now clicking and crashing when playing Rosegarden 2.0 :(
http://cubicgarden.com/2013/03/02/pacem ... -problems/

So I've decided to swap the hard drive for a solid state drive.
Looking around I wanted check I got everything needed correct.

It needs to be a 1.8inch SSD with a 40pin PATA/ZIF connection?

I was looking at this one... http://www.amazon.co.uk/KingSpec-1-8-in ... _1_fkmr2_2
32GB KingSpec 1.8-inch ZIF 40-pin SSD Solid State Disk SMI Controller (MLC)

Like my battery post, any help or pointers would be greatly useful

How did it go? Was the SSD replacement straight forward?

So we need a 0.2mm zif? Does 40pin Zif mean the same as 0.2? I couldn't find the size (0.2 vs 0.3) on the specs I looked at, so I'm not sure if the SSD I have found is the right one.

Thanks to everyone who's posted about this, I now have a 64GB SSD in my Pacemaker.

It's lighter, the battery lasts longer, and I'm finding it much more responsive. Fantastic upgrade. Everyone should do this!
