Hi everyone a newbie here.

Got my pmd couple of months ago & lovin it! Had proper vinyl decks for years (technics & stanton str8's for those who are interested lol) & needed something to play on since I sold up.

Gonna try join in this forum instead of just lurking....


Right. I've had a bit of trouble since upgrading to this new beta version? I keep getting error 0201 since upgrade?

I was using the unofficial version before that (16219?) I've read this is buggy & error 0201 was common. Is this causing my troubles? Do I need to install an official version then update to beta?

Can't find the manual install link though . I've seen & done it once before, but can't find it now I need it!

Apart from this crashing, I thought the beta greatly improved the responsiveness of the pmd?

Gonna downgrade back to the last official firmware until I get a heads up on my beta problem for now!

Edit: so much harder work, in the mix! Am used to pushing & pulling with the vinyl. But have got used to the beat lock on pmd! Help! Lol

I went back to 14142 firmware then installed the beta. Got the 201 error again once last night? Gonna have another blast in a bit & see how it goes. Doesn't do it while I'm doing anything specific, tune playing stutters then error message comes up?

Also had trouble installing beta through updater last night? Failed twice, (asked to overwrite on 2nd attempt?) so had to do it manually.

Would a format & re-install help do you think? Don't know if I've up/down graded the firmware too many times & its got messy on the hard drive?

Edit: had an hour & half blast this afternoon. No crashes.

charliehgate where did you find the 14142 firmware....can you add the link to the firmware please i have also the same prob with crash 0201 or som thing like that and i want to down grade it but i cant find a link. thanx

CharlieGate - That's what I'd be trying next if I were in your position and still having problems

p.2 - The firmware is available on this very site. The main page has a link to a "firmware" section which leads to this download link. However if you are using Windows you should be able to use our PMUpdater application which will download it for you as part of the upgrade process
